Who we are
Aqie Global Consult ("we", "us") is an education and immigration advisory registered in Nigeria under CAC number RC 3846468, with an office at Ire-Akari, Egbeda, Ibadan, Oyo State. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.
What we collect
- Contact details — your name, email address and phone or WhatsApp number.
- Enquiry details — your intended destination, study level, course interest and budget.
- Application data — where you become a client: academic transcripts and certificates, passport details, financial evidence, employment history and immigration history.
- Technical data — basic, non-identifying information about how you use this website.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To respond to your enquiry — on the basis of your consent, given when you submit a form or message us.
- To deliver our services — on the basis of performance of a contract with you.
- To submit applications on your behalf — to universities, institutions and immigration authorities, with your instruction.
- To meet legal obligations — where record-keeping or disclosure is required by law.
Who we share it with
We share your data only where it is necessary to deliver the service you have asked for: with the universities and institutions you are applying to; with immigration authorities, visa application centres and their appointed processing partners; and with service providers who help us operate (for example, our contact-form provider and email provider).
Some of these recipients are outside Nigeria — that is inherent to studying or travelling abroad. We share only what is necessary for your application. We never sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
Enquiry data is kept for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Client application records are kept for up to 6 years after your file closes, to meet record-keeping obligations and to support you if you reapply.
Your rights under the NDPA
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you; to have inaccurate data corrected; to request deletion; to withdraw consent at any time; to object to processing; and to request your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the timeframe required by law.
If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
How we protect your data
This website is served over HTTPS. Documents you send us are stored in access-controlled accounts, and only people working on your application can access them. Please do not send passwords, full card numbers or bank login details — we will never ask for them.
